Doug joined DeLotto in 1984 as a Master Carpenter. His ability to handle complex projects and his acute attention to detail soon made him a candidate for advancement. After completing the Florida AGC’s Superintendent Supervisory Training program in 1988, Doug was promoted to project superintendent. As a result of his ability to effectively manage multiple projects, he was promoted to Project Manager in 1995 with job responsibilities including project management, estimating, value engineering and coordination of all field personnel.
Continued development of his business acumen has made Doug a valued member of the executive management team and the company’s ownership group. He is extremely cost conscious and provides a conservative and fiscally responsible voice to the financial affairs of the company. In 2002 he was named Vice President, and in 2006 Doug was promoted to Executive Vice President.
Having successfully managed the completion of a wide variety of projects, including medical, custom residential, automotive, historic restorations, commercial and industrial office buildings and high-end commercial interiors, Doug’s diverse background and expertise make him an invaluable addition to each project he is involved in. Doug has earned a reputation for his tenacity and attention to detail while being highly motivated to complete projects on-time and on-budget. Doug has completed projects under various methods of project delivery including general contracting, construction management and design-build. He diligently partners with the Owner and Design Consultants to help produce a cost-effective and energy-efficient building that will service the Owner’s needs for years to come.
Doug is the consummate outdoorsman and fills most of his free time with fishing, diving, biking and enjoying his family.
