Darrin Thomson

Vice President

Since joining DeLotto in 1992, Darrin’s construction experience has primarily focused on education and church facilities. Darrin has served as Project Engineer, Project Manager, Estimator, and Scheduler. This variety of responsibilities has provided Darrin with a proficiency in and application of various computer-based construction management, estimating and scheduling tools. Well versed in coordinating large numbers of vendors and scheduling around Owner activities while maintaining a safe and separate environment for staff and visitors, Darrin provides a special sensitivity and understanding of the needs of Owners who desire to conduct business while undergoing construction and/or renovation work directly adjacent or alongside their ongoing business activities. As Project Manager for the University of South Florida Minor Projects contract for four years, Darrin handled the bidding, purchasing, scheduling, construction and warranty response for over 150 projects on the Fowler Avenue campus in Tampa.

Being promoted to Vice President of Preconstruction Services has afforded Darrin the opportunity to create, organize, implement and manage a department that touches almost every project DeLotto is involved with. Combining his field experience, project management skills and estimating expertise Darrin is a valuable addition to any Project Team. Through accurate quantity take-offs, constructability analysis, value engineering and scope evaluations his feedback assists the Project Team in making important decisions that affect the design, use and long-term maintenance of the facilities we build.

Darrin is a father of three and is faithfully involved with his church, Boy Scouts, youth soccer and maximizing quality time with his family.
