Project Overview:
Situated on an 8.6-acre parcel, the SVB Tennis Center project represents a unique Public Private partnership between the City of Zephyrhills and the contracted management group of the Center. The facility is as a legacy to Sarah Vande Berg, daughter of City Planner Todd Vande Berg. Sarah was an accomplished USTA Tournament and All Conference Tennis player at Zephyrhills HS and received a Division One scholarship from South Carolina. Tragically Sarah was killed in an auto accident while attending college in South Carolina.
The project was completed under a Design/Build Method of Project Delivery with DeLotto contracting directly with FleischmanGarcia Architects for the Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Interior Design elements of the Club Facility and outlying structures. The City contracted with the Civil Engineer direct while DeLotto orchestrated the inclusion and coordination of the Tennis Design Studio who completed the design and layout of the Courts.
The 7,125 SF Tennis Club facility includes a Pro Shop, Restaurant, Commons Area, Community Room, Private offices, Massage/Yoga, Fitness Center, Cryo Therapy, Salt Sauna Therapy, Locker Rooms, Large Covered Patio, Maintenance Shed and Remote Restrooms. The sports courts include (9) Har-Tru and (2) Asphalt Tennis Courts, (8) Pickleball Courts, (4) Padel Courts and an Artificial Turf Court used for Tennis and Fitness.
As Design Builder, DeLotto was responsible for design and construction of the entire complex.
