Project Information
DeLotto was hired as construction manager to work with STH Architectural Group to construct a new campus in Lutz on a 25-acre site bordering the largest lake in Lutz and a six-lane highway.
Berean Academy, a private Christian school, was established in the fall of 1995 in a one-room schoolhouse with 11 students in kindergarten through third grade. In 2006, when the school graduated its first senior class, it became apparent that a new, larger school was needed.
The 46,000 square foot campus, completed in December 2007, includes classrooms for grades kindergarten through 12, administration, a multipurpose facility and a 14,000 square foot with offices and locker rooms.
There were no utilities (water or sewer) to the site, so there is a septic system and wells for potable water and fire protection. There is also a 46,000-gallon water storage tank for fire protection.
